The Perry volleyball team will play a 6 team round robin tonight when they travel to Adel for the ADM Invitational.  Perry enters competition with a mark of 4-3 and Head Coach Kristel Kautzky says the team is still getting used to a different style of defense.

“I talked with Carol (VanKirk) after the final Iowa State camp day in Ames and mentioned how I think we should go with a more perimeter based defense.  We have a mature team but this is a different philosophy from the rotational defense that they played last year so it will take some time.  We have so many tough blockers that this type of defense allows us to cover the back and keep our strong parts in place at different areas of the court.  It will just take some time.”

Perry will have their first match today at 4:15.
