Friday, August 22nd

A deputy was dispatched to the Lakeside Golf Course to locate a reported injured deer. The deputy and the groundskeeper located and removed the deer from the golf course.

A deputy while on routine patrol in Churdan initiated a traffic stop and issued a citation to Arnold Isom of Churdan for Driving a Motor Vehicle while Suspended.

A deputy spoke with the owner of a trailer that was parked in the 700 block of Main Street in Scranton. The trailer was to be removed by Sunday.

A deputy was dispatched to a reported vehicle in the ditch on W Avenue (P46) at 210th Street and the driver was walking northbound and asking passerby’s for a ride to Harcourt. The deputy did locate the male walking near 220th Street and subsequently arrested Daniel Karl Krog 52, of Vincent, Iowa, for Public Intoxication and Failure to Maintain Control.

Saturday, August 23rd

A deputy checked a residence in the 400 block of Irving Street in Scranton after dispatchers received an abandoned E-911 call from that residence. The home was found to be secure, with no one home at the residence.

A deputy was dispatched to the 2200 block of 340th Street for the report of a stolen pickup truck. Upon the deputy’s arrival it was determined that three young adults were partying along the Raccoon River just into Dallas County and had become stuck in the mud. One of the male subjects had walked to the residence in Greene County to get help and took the truck without the owner’s permission. After an investigation, the deputy arrested Shawn Richard Knudsen 22, of Coon Rapids, for Driving While Suspended and Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Owner’s Consent, Colton Lee Pulver 23, of Coon Rapids, for Public Intoxication and Laryssa Shelbi Bushman 19, of Scranton, for Possession of Alcohol 18-20 Years of Age, 1st Offense.

 A deputy investigated the report of vehicles racing by a residence at a high rate of speed in the 1000 block of 130th Street.

The animal control officer picked up a Great Dane puppy that was running at large in the 600 block of Hills Avenue in Churdan.

A deputy spoke with a female in the 400 block of East Main Street in Grand Junction after she made some posts on Facebook in reference to her life challenges.

Sunday, August 24th

A deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of South 9th Street in Grand Junction to try and locate three vehicles driving erratic and not stopping at the stop sign.

Dispatchers from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office received an abandoned E-911 call from the 1800 block of M Avenue. Dispatch was eventually able to return a call to the residence and spoke with a male that stated his younger sister was responsible for the call.

A deputy investigated a Harassment and Criminal Mischief complaint that was received from two young adults in the 1100 block of Cedar Street in Scranton.

A deputy was not in position to locate a reported erratic and careless driver near the Grand Junction area. The deputy was provided a vehicle description, but did not find the car.

A deputy was advised of cattle on the roadway at I Avenue and 170th Street. The cattle were not found upon the deputy’s arrival.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all  defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
