An athlete on the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball Team is receiving recognition for his contribution inside the Raccoon River Conference.
ADM senior Wyatt Schweiger has been given an Honorable Mention for the RRC as he was a four-year varsity letter winner for the Tigers over his high school career. During the 2024-25 season, Schweiger managed to score 139 points off 36 percent shooting, made 23 three pointers, grabbed 71 rebounds, had 34 assists, 32 steals, and three blocks. Head Coach Trevor Mickelson praises all the work Schweiger has shown.
“For a kid that has played basketball his entire life, to see him realize some of those dreams and goals at a really high level at the state tournament making big plays was really cool, and he’s a kid that I’m really proud of.”
Schweiger played the starting point guard this season, after sitting behind Rhylan Stine-Smith a year ago. ADM finished 22-5 on the season and fell to Clear Lake in the Class 3A Semifinals in the state tournament, as they made that for the first time since 2012.
