Pierce Abbotts of Jefferson won the U12 division for boys at the Pepsi Youth Bowling Tournament at Bowlerama in Des Moines on March 16. Abbotts rolled games of 204, 188, 249 for a three game series of 641. Pierce is a 10 year old fifth grader at Greene County Middle School and his parents are Brett Abbotts and Kourtney Self.

Greene County varsity bowler Chase Fecher of Jefferson, a high school sophomore, was in the U18 boys’ division. Fecher had a six game series of 1,092, good for 31st place. His individual games were 218, 161, 224, 248, 193, 148.

The pair qualified for the State Tournament through District competition at Spare Time Lanes in Jefferson.
