The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Bowling team has a high ceiling going forward after completing the first season as a program.

ADM finished their inaugural season as the girls were represented by freshman Alabama Astley at the state tournament, where she placed 31st. The Tigers partnered with the Waukee School District for the past number of years until the 2024-25 season. Head Coach Sarah Boesen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the competition within the Two Rivers Bowling Conference was beneficial to pushing the girls to get better.

“Some of these conference wins were really really good, and really really close. Our Knoxville game was super close and they pulled out a big win there, which really really helps them I think, and just assuring them that they have the skills and have the talent to do it.”

ADM’s team this year consisted of nine freshmen and two sophomores, and Boesen believes there’s a bright future ahead of them. The Tigers had a four game winning streak, concluding with a 4-7 overall record (2-2 inside the TRC).
