This weekend is the annual Swap Meet and Jefferson City-wide garage sale.

Greene County Chamber Director Chris Henning says these two events are perfect for anyone looking for great deals on a wide variety of items.

The Swap Meet includes all kinds of farm equipment, auto parts, antiques, crafts and various vendors will be at the Greene County fairgrounds on Friday, August 22nd from noon-7pm and Saturday, August 23rd from 8am-5pm with a farm equipment machinery consignment auction at 10am that day.

Plus, Henning says the Chamber is requesting any Jefferson resident who wants to schedule a garage sale for the same weekend, to contact them to be added to the growing list.

“There will be a list of all all of you who say you’re having a garage sale.  So that people who are looking for garage sales while they’re in town for the swap meet can do that too.”

She adds that copies of the garage sales will be made available at the Chamber office and at all convenience stores in Jefferson on Friday afternoon.
