
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Basketball team is gearing up for the second round of the postseason tonight as they welcome in Grinnell.
It will be another battle of the Tigers as Grinnell defeated Centerville 56-45 on Monday, as ADM handled Clarke Community 89-25. Grinnell senior Derek Doty is averaging 14.6 points per game on 38 percent shooting, as ADM’s junior Hudson Lorensen is at 25.3 points per contest on 55 percent shooting and 43 percent behind the arc. Grinnell is 12-9 on the season, representing the WaMaC-West Conference, and ADM is 19-4 overall, out of the Raccoon River Conference.
This will be the first meeting between the teams as the winner will face off against either Pella or Newton for the regional championship and a shot to go to the state tournament. Tonight’s game will be held at ADM High School in Adel with tip off at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, beginning at 6:45pm.
