Even though today is only the 7th official day of practice, a vast majority of the Bluejay offense and defense have already been installed into the first week of practice.

“We certainly emphasize fundamentals,” commented Perry Head Coach Jason Olejniczak.  “We do fundamentals all year as you’ll see us working the basics in week 8 and week 9.  However, we have the majority of our offense and defense introduced to the team by day 5.  Now, not all of it, but a good chunk of it.  We throw it to them a lot and figure out what will work and specifically what will work for the next opponent and make adjustments from there.  But right now, it’s safe to say that we are doing a lot of X’s and O’s.”

Perry will face a familiar opponent in week one when they travel to Adel for a non district game against ADM.  Perry stunned the Tigers late last year at Dewey Field.  Perry will have a Gatorade scrimmage this Friday night at Dewey Field.
