If Greene County bowling coach John Woodford didn’t already know the route to Bowlero Thunder Bowl in Council Bluffs, he will after today. Greene County bowled there on Monday in a Class 1A girls’ State Qualifying event and the boys bowl at the same location today.

Greene County was last among six teams with a 15 Baker game total of 1,663 pins. St. Albert (Council Bluffs) shot 2,503 and was the one team that qualified for State competition next week in Waterloo. Shenandoah had 2,424, Harlan Community 2,042, Carroll 1,847, OABCIG 1,769, followed by the Rams.

Senior Allison Fields led the Rams with a three game series of 476 that included games of 173, 146, and 157. The coach told Raccoon Valley Radio Fields missed individually qualifying for State by 42 pins. Trinity Hull was next for the Rams at 162, 113, 139=414. Rozella Helms rolled 107, 87, 142=336, with Shelby Finley 110, 93, 97, 300, Alivya Cornell 63, 112, 122=297, and Hayeigh Rivera 66, 80, 110=256.
