One weather reporting station in the Raccoon River Valley area has already surpassed the normal monthly rainfall amount for the entire month of August.
According to the National Weather Service, Guthrie Center received 1.66 inches of rain this week for a total of 4.76 inches already this month.
Perry received 0.8 inch of rain since our last report for a total of 3.19 inches so far in August. And Jefferson saw just 0.12 inch this week for 2.75 inches total this month.
Jefferson usually sees just shy of four inches of rain in August, Perry just over four inches and Guthrie Center typically receives around 4.4 inches.
