The 2024-25 girls’ basketball season at Paton-Churdan ended on Thursday night at Fort Dodge St. Edmond in a Class 1A first round Region tournament game. The Gaels improved to 7-14 with a 71-24 victory over the Rockets, who finish 1-20.

Sophomore Alivya Smith scored nine points for P-C with five each from sophomore Kaliyah Minnihan and senior Grace Cullum. Sophomore Ella Tasler scored four points. The Gaels were led in scoring by Payton Bradley’s 25 points, which included seven goals from three-point range. St. Edmond led 41-15 at halftime.

This is a young Rockets team for coach Tom Kennedy with Cullum the only senior.
