The Perry Chamber of Commerce saw good representation during their Valentines event this past Saturday.
According to Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti, the 22nd Annual Chocolate Walk was successful in selling 152 tickets to walk around the 20 businesses participating and eat the delicious treats. She shares that of those 152 tickets, 59 people were outside of Perry, making up 29 different cities in Iowa. Pasutti details that of the 20 businesses, five of them were apart of the event for the first time, and tells Raccoon Valley Radio that The Farm Store and Bakery enjoyed people venturing in.
“Feedback was just so much excitement about this new business and people coming in and getting a sneak peek. We kind of had to nudge her along a little bit to even participate because she’s not quite ready yet, she will be at the end of this month, but it was a great opportunity for people to come in and see what’s coming, and get excited about the new business.”
Pasutti highlights that Spring Valley Honey Farms, which has been in business for about 30 years, was part of their first Chocolate Walk, and they loved seeing many new faces stop into their store. Pasutti is happy to have people from around the state get to experience Perry’s downtown and hopes to keep growing the event in the years to come.
