
Today marks day 2 of the girls state wrestling tournament as Dallas Center-Grimes celebrates two athletes that have advanced in the state tournament. At 115, Josephine Bond would come back and win her next two matches after falling to Libby Stocks in her first match to stay alive in the consolation side of the bracket.
Halley Beaudet came in at the number 1 seed and continued to display her dominance as she quickly won her two matches to advance to the semifinals. At 190, Beaudet defeated Amaiah Brooks by fall in 46 seconds then defeated Joscelyn Stricker by decision 8-1.
The Mustangs have two wrestlers advancing as Josephine Bond works her way up the consolation side of the bracket while Halley Beaudet looks for the gold in the semifinals as girls wrestling action continues today.
