The Stuart Public Library has something for the gardeners in the community and surrounding areas.
Library Director Lisa Sherman says that on January 25th, they participated in a seed swap and giveaway from Nine Squared Feet, something that they’ve done over the past few years. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that something they’re excited about for this year is that there were plenty of seeds for the event, meaning that there are still some for those who would want them.
“We have quite a few seeds left and we have a lot of gardening seeds and flowers that are still going to be delivered, so come on into our library. These seeds are free. A lot of people are talking about having a new garden.”
Sherman mentions that those interested can come into the library and pick up some seed packets during regular business hours, which are 9am to 6pm Monday and Wednesday, 9am to 5pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9am to noon on Saturday. She adds that these seeds are completely free, so there’s no need to worry about paying for them.
