The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Bowling Teams split the games over the weekend against a conference opponent.

ADM was in Des Moines this past Saturday taking on Norwalk, where the girls lost 2350-2106 and the boys won 2973-2848. In the girls game, freshman Alabama Astley bowled over a 200, with a personal best of a 201 (371 in total pins). Despite the loss, Head Coach Sarah Boesen is happy with the progress the girls have been making over their four straight wins prior to this latest loss.

“I think they’re having more fun now that they are seeing some success and they’re really making strides in their scores and just feeling more secure that they can do it.”

The girls are now 4-6 (2-2 inside the Two Rivers Conference).

On the boys side, senior Jaxson Book was the high bowler with 427 total pins, then it was freshman Zane Johnson in fourth (393), senior Owen Evans in fifth (390) and junior Colby Simons in sixth (388). The Tigers have won seven consecutive games and sit at 7-3 overall (4-1 TRC).

ADM will now prepare to take on Newton to close out the regular season this Saturday at the Adel Family Fun Center at 11am.
