It’s Woodward Academy at Greene County in high school boys basketball tonight in Jefferson. It’s a JV/varsity boys’ twin bill with the varsity game around 7:30 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Both teams have been light on victories to this point of the season with the Knights 1-8 and the Rams 3-11.
Woodward Academy won its first game of the season, then has dropped eight straight contests since then. Due to the structure of the Academy system the roster isn’t always as consistent as with the typical public school. The Knights have been competitive in a number of contests.
Greene County was granted a 22nd regular season game in order to help WA fill out its schedule, which was short of the regulation 21 game regular season. The Rams have just one win at home in its last 20 contests in Jefferson dating back to late in the 2022-23 season.
