The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County recently presented a check to the recipients of their 2024 fourth quarter donation.

In a press release made in conjunction with the presentation, 10 Squared Women member Kristen Crouthamel shares that the Friends of the Guthrie Center Library received a lump sum of $14,600. She goes on to say that the Friends group was established in November 1994, and the organization helped to get the current library built. Members of the Friends group along with Mary J Barnett Memorial Library Director Jerri Hawkins explain that the funds will be used in purchasing new furnishings for the updated children’s area, to make it more inviting to young readers.

Crouthamel mentions that with this donation, the 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County have now donated $372,350 since the organization’s inception in 2017. The next meeting of the organization will be at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Guthrie Center on February 25th.
