The Dallas County Conservation Board is gearing up for a program relating to a nocturnal bird.

The conservation board is inviting people out to the Forest Park Museum and Arboretum, 14581 K Avenue, in Perry tomorrow for their “Who’s Hoo,” event. According to Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker, a naturalist will teach participants about the variety of different owls in the state of Iowa. Naturalist Allison Dittmer highlights that people will go through ways to make owl calls as well as an opportunity to meet the education ambassador owl, who she notes is a real owl that the organization has had for 12 years after her injuries prevented her from being in the wild. Baker points out that the program will be inside, and the free event will be open to the public tomorrow from 9-10am.
