Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Boys Bowling Head Coach Jason Kilker pinpoints ways that the team is developing in the debut season as a program.

ADM began the year by losing the first three games to Ballard, Oskaloosa, and Waukee, before winning fourth consecutive matches. Kilker acknowledges that the boys just needed to find a rhythm as many of the boys were apart of the ADM-Waukee partnership for the last several years. However, he mentions that other bowlers on the team participated in the sport separately  with family members and friends. Kilker boils it down to finding the correct balance between the two groups.

“It’s just melding some of those kids and letting them understand how it works and the importance of closing out frames and we’ve kind of had a juggernaut in the beginning, but we beat a pretty solid Pella team and we beat a solid Sigourney (Keota) team. We’re looking forward to just keep things rolling.”

The other two teams that the Tigers have defeated over the four-game winning streak are Pella Christian and their most recent matchup versus Gilbert on January 9th. ADM will be seeking their fifth straight win on Saturday as they travel to Statemen Lanes in Oskaloosa to battle Knoxville at noon.
