An organization in the Perry area will be the home for a delicious fundraiser meal on Saturday.
The Washington Township School Board is welcoming residents out to their building, seven miles south of Perry on County Road P58, for their annual soup supper and pie auction. According to Secretary Advisory Board Member Susan Andrews, the food will feature potato soup, chili, relish, corn bread, along with desserts and drinks. She adds that the board will auction off pies as well as cinnamon rolls that are donated by friends and neighbors.
Andrews says that Deanette and Cheryl Snyder, and Carolyn Ritzman all grew up in Washington Township, are wonderful volunteers who help with this fundraiser and are valued supporters of the school. She mentions that the event is open to the public and the meal is a freewill donation with proceeds going back to the school to help pay for utilities and maintenance. The soup supper will start at 5pm, with the pie auction to follow.
