The AC/GC Chargers basketball teams finished off their week with a Saturday game against the Exira-Elkhorn Kimbalton Spartans.

For the girls game, things were a back and forth battle, with the Chargers leading 19-16 after the first quarter, but trailing 29-27 going into the halftime break. AC/GC came back in the third though, going up 42-38 before the fourth quarter, and finishing the game with a 60-56 victory.

Camdyn Richter lead the team in scoring, putting up 21 points on seven of 14 shooting from the field, one of two shooting from beyond the arch, and shot 100 percent from the free throw line. Becca Littler followed up with 15 points on five of six shooting from three point land, and Stella Largent rounded out the top scorers with nine points on four of six shooting from the field and one of two shooting from the charity stripe. Richter also led in rebounds with nine, with Shay Lemke hauling in eight and Karli Kautzky pulling down four. Lemke led the way in assists with eight, with Littler dishing out four and Kautzky doling out two of her own.

For the boys game, the Chargers bounced back from their first loss of the season Friday night by taking down the Spartans 93-45.  All five starters made it to double digits in scoring, with Joe Crawford and Jathan South leading for the Chargers, dishing out 18 points apiece, with Payton Policky recording 16, Noah Kading putting up 13, and Mason Wahl hitting double digits with 10 of his own. The bench was able to contribute 18 points

The Chargers return to action Tuesday night when they head to Wells Fargo Arena to take on the Woodward-Granger Hawks.
