The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a fun event at Springbrook State Park next Saturday.

DNR Interpretive Naturalist and Educator Anne Riordan says that there will be a Winter Rx Hike at the park. She states that this kind of hike is just the prescription for improving physical and mental health for anyone who wants to attend. Riordan mentions that the hike will start below the dam and be from 12:30-2pm, with the hike open to the public. Participants are asked to dress for the weather, and no pre-registration is required.
