The Stuart City Council will meet in regular session for the first time in 2025 on Monday night.

The Council will consider for approval a building inspection hourly contract proposal from Venstra & Kimm, an Iowa Code enforcement contract proposal, and a cemetery mowing and spraying contract for 2025. They will also consider for approval a pay estimate the 2023 Wambold 3rd Addition Street Lighting at $46,699.47, a change order for the 2023 Sanitary Sewer Project in the amount of $11,400, and set a public hearing on proposed ordinances granting franchises to Guthrie County Rural Electric Cooperative Association and Farmers Electric Cooperative.

The Council will then discuss with Stuart Police Chief Dave Reha on body cameras and software possible upgrades, then make various appointments and reappointments for 2025, before hearing from Stuart Economic Development Director Matt Funk with an update.
