The 2025 portion of the high school wrestling season for Greene County began with a 2-0 record on Saturday in Coon Rapids vs. Coon Rapids-Bayard and Fort Dodge St. Edmond. The Rams were 51-12 winners vs. the Gaels and 57-24 victors vs. CR-R to improve the dual meet record to 4-5.

Another triangular awaits Coach Kirk Davis’ team on Thursday in Perry vs. the Blue Jays and Nevada. THe Blue Jays are 0-10 and the Cubs are 1-3. Then it’s the second of three “mega” tournaments this season when the wrestlers compete in Atlantic on Saturday. The Rollin Dyer Invitational features 21 teams in all with all three classes of competition from Iowa in the field, as well as four squads from Nebraska.
