Last night the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team hosted the West Central Valley Wildcats and were able to hold on to the lead in the final seconds, securing a 33-29 victory over West Central Valley.
Both teams would have a slow start in the first, but the Panther girls would find themselves down to the Wildcats at the end of the first by 4 as the score was 9-5 in West Central Valley’s favor. In the second, shots would begin to fall for the Panthers would would score 18 points in the second to gain a 23-17 lead going into the halftime break.
In the third, the Wildcats would begin to chip away at the lead, cutting Panorama’s lead to only 4 points at the end of the third quarter as Panorama was held to only four points. The Panthers would keep their composure in the final quarter, holding onto a 4 point lead with a final score of 33-29 for the Panorama Panthers.
The Panther girls now sit at 6-1 so far this season and prepare for action tonight as the Panther basketball teams travel to ACGC High School for double header action against the Chargers.
