The Perry Public Library is doing a fun holiday themed program for the rest of the month, beginning tomorrow.

The library is inviting participants to come by to create gingerbread men for their winter contest. According to Youth Services Librarian Laura Pieper, people can make a paper gingerbread man out of any materials they choose, but the only caveat is that each gingerbread man needs to be dressed in a special outfit.

“You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man. So help the gingerbread men hide in the library by disguising them as book characters.”

Pieper reveals that the decorating contest will begin tomorrow and run through the end of the month on December 31st, when the gingerbread men will need to be submitted to the library. She mentions that this is a family-oriented event and participants must register to ensure that enough materials are available.
