A member from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Bowling team expresses her gratitude for the support she receives from her family.

ADM freshman Rhylea Fuquey is part of the inaugural bowling team in the school’s program. Prior to this year, the Tigers collaborated with Waukee High School. Fuquey tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she was inspired by her sister, Bianca, who was on the Waukee team. She appreciates that her family is always encouraging her.

“They really support me in like coming here on like week days, and trying to help me do things that Coach (Sarah) Boesen helps me with during practice.”

Fuquey mentions that Coach Boesen has helped her improve on throwing more strikes and believes that ADM has great sportsmanship at meets. Fuquey’s high score of the season so far is 171 and is a fan of Bowlerama Lanes in Des Moines.

The Tigers are now on winter break until they return to action on January 6th taking on Pella Christian.
