The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
During the open forum, a Dallas County resident presented Supervisor Mark Hanson with a poster that reads “The World is Yours to Explore.” The resident mentioned that he wanted to honor Hanson for his 20 years of service as a Dallas County Supervisor. Then the board approved moving forward with several capital projects relating to the newly proposed criminal court building of the Secondary Roads Administration addition, courthouse renovations, plus the evidence storage building and firing range for the Sheriff’s Office.
Also, the board approved a LEC Canopy repair and replacement in the amount of $45,000 for the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, awarding a bid to Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corporation in the amount of $4,834,549.10 for the County Road F90 paving project, designating John Judisch as the first Assistant Dallas County Attorney, a resolution to appoint New Roadside Biologist Manager James Devig, from Adel, as the Dallas County Weed Commissioner and appointing Township Trustee members of Shannon Bryan in Dallas Township, and Theresa Witchtendahl and Gloria Whisner for the Adel Township to four year terms until 2028.
