In the December meeting of the Panorama School Board, a vote was taken on the use of some Safety Grant Funds.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the Board looked at some quotes for increasing and maintaining security at some of the buildings in the district. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio where those efforts are being focused at this time.
“We’re gonna add some key fobs to doors in our district. One at the elementary and three at the middle school, high school.”
Huebner mentions that approving the use of these funds allows the district to go ahead and purchase the hardware and software needed for installing and running these fobs, and then be reimbursed for those purchases afterward. He adds that this is only one step the district has taken so far to ensure the safety of their students and staff.
