An Adair man was sentenced December 12th to 24 months in federal prison.

According to court documents, 43 year old Rand Shuey was found to be in possession of a silencer attached to a rifle, which also had a high-capacity magazine in December of 2022, then in January of 2023 a second silencer was found at Shuey’s residence. Shuey did not register either silencer with the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record as required by federal law.
