The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball teams will have to wait an extra day to face off with a Raccoon River Conference rival.
With the anticipated icy road conditions tonight, The ADM Tigers will now travel to Madison County tomorrow to battle the Winterset Huskies for their third conference game of the 2024-25 season. The ADM teams are coming off victories against Carroll where the girls won 39-30 and the boys were 78-52 winners. For the girls, the Tigers are averaging about 41 points per game, while the Huskies are at 46. ADM senior Kelli Storck is sitting at about 11 points per game for the season, and Winterset senior Brynn Acton is right at 11 points as well. The Tigers are 3-3 and the Huskies are 2-2.
On the boys side, ADM hasn’t lost yet with a record of 3-0, while Winterset is still searching for their first win (0-4). Tiger junior Hudson Lorensen has scored over 25 points in the first three games, with 33 versus Carroll and Huskie senior Hank Wilmes is averaging about 13 points per game on 48% shooting from the field. Defensively, the teams are even with both allowing about 60 points so far.
ADM lead the overall series 23-14, but lost the last matchup in Winterset 80-70 on February 6th. The girls are scheduled to play at 6pm followed by the boys at approximately 7:30pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 5:45pm tomorrow.
