A member from the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Bowling team explains his joy about being apart of the debut season for the school.

ADM junior Cole Darling tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he got into the sport of bowling by doing it as a weekly activity on Fridays when he was younger with his friends. The Tigers partnered with Waukee High School for many years, but now have enough students to support their own team. Darling has met people through bowling with Waukee, but is grateful to be bringing some attention to ADM.

“I really like being at Adel because I’m bowling with all of my friends from my school, and Waukee we didn’t get any recognition from our school or anything, but now being in Adel, we’re recognized by our school. Just be a lot better, I like bowling with classmates from our school.”

Darling details that he was reminiscing with guys on the Waukee team as ADM recently competed with them on Monday. He says that one of his favorite alleys to bowl at is Statesman Lanes in Oskaloosa. The Tigers will be welcoming the Pella Dutch into Adel for a match tomorrow, starting at 11am over at the Adel Family Fun Center.
