The AC/GC Chargers boys wrestling team had their first meet Thursday, and came away with some good wins.

The team hosted a quad against East Union, Nodaway Valley and West Central Valley, winning against East Union 48-36, dropping the match against Nodaway Valley 52-30, and taking down West Central Valley 42-30. Of the matches against the three other teams, the Chargers won 10 by forfeit, and dropped seven by forfeit. Two matches against West Central Valley were awarded no points due to double forfeit.

Senior Gavin Sloss won all three of his matches in the 132 weight class, with fellow fellow senior Blaise Tallman winning two and falling in one of his matches at 157. Sophomore Ryder Cline won two matches by fall and the third by forfeit in the 144 weight class, with junior Angel Martinez also winning two by fall and the third by forfeit at 165.
