Perry basketball wrapped up a busy week with home games against West Marshall last night. The Jayettes fell 54-24 while the Bluejays picked up the win 64-50. For the first time in over two decades, the boys start a season 3-0.
The girls committed 17 first half turnovers as West Marshall took a 19-9 lead into half. West Marshall pulled away in the third, 35-13. Final 54-24.
The Bluejays battled to a 14-10 lead at the end of the first. The lead would grow to 5 at half, 32-27. The Bluejays held West Marshall to 7 points in the third as the lead ballooned to 14. Final 64-50 as Kenney has back to back 30 point plus games. Finished with 30 last night
The Jayettes fall to 3-1 and 1-1 in conference. Taryn Nehring led the team with 6 points.
The Bluejays improve to 3-0 and 2-0 in conference. The boys haven’t started 3-0 in two decades.
Perry basketball will return to action Tuesday for a doubleheader with PCM.
