A local school district in Dallas County is helping students remain warm through the winter season.

The Perry Community School District is donating jackets to students that are in need of them. According to High School Counselor Tami Valline, students can use the jackets for free during the winter. She says that the jackets are brand new, range in different sizes and come in a variety of colors.

Valline emphasizes that the coats were donated from the Perry Rotary Club, and are open to students at the elementary, middle and high school levels. She says that students will simply need to stop by the counselor’s office during the winter months to pick one up, and that students can keep the coats and won’t need to return them.
