For the first Saturday of December, the Mary J Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center has a special author event.
Library Director Jerri Hawkins tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Iowan Michelle Cowan will be presenting her book, “Better Not Bitter.” She says that the library has a copy of the book for patrons to read before the event if they wish, and shares the synopsis of the book.
“Michelle’s husband died in a car crash and she was forced to figure out how to move forward with her grieving teenage daughter. This will require them to walk a path that is foreign to most but welcomed by none. She talks about her journey of love and loss, power and influence, courage and honor and how she got through that.”
Hawkins mentions that Cowan has been traveling around the state giving presentations on the book, and that they are excited she chose them for one of these presentations. The event will be from 10-11am December 7th.
