As the calendar turns to the final month in 2024, the Perry Public Library is having adults partaking in a holiday activity.
Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer welcomes adults to join in designing winter button mitten decor for the month of December. Farmer says the theme revolves around being “smitten with reading,” and wanted to find a do-it-yourself exercise that coincides with it. She believes that people will really gravitate towards this program because she found it as an easy way to personalize an item for the holidays.
“As I was making this to create the instructions, I was saying to my co-workers, this is actually super relaxing and I think I’m going to start making button crafts.”
Farmer notes that the crafts will be the perfect way to help spruce up your home for the holidays. She emphasizes that the crafts are available for free on a first come, first serve basis, starting on Sunday and lasting throughout the month of December.
