It’s been a few years since the last time the AC/GC Chargers had a dance team, but with it reinstated this year, athletes are ready to perform.
The dance team members are raring to go, as they get prepared for the state dance competition. As they continue to practice, Gracie Hodges shares what she’s looking forward to.
“I’m really excited that we finally get to have a dance team again after how many years and it’s just fun to be a part of our school dance team again.”
Kiera Boals shares that besides competing at the state competition, the team has a few other goals that they have set for themselves.
“We just want to be able to do multiple different dances and just show the crowd how much we enjoy it and help them to enjoy it as well.”
With the state competition coming up in December, Kaylee Oberholtz shares what she wants everyone supporting them to know about the team.
“I would like the community and fans to know that our dance team is just very supportive of all the other teams and we’re just so excited to have a great year.
Karlynn Wetzel also shares what the team wants the community and fans to know as they get ready to compete, and perform during the winter sports season.
“We want to show everybody that dance is really important, and it’s an activity that’s great to do.”
The Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association will be hosting the 2024 High School Team and Solo Championships at the Wells Fargo Arena from December 4th through 6th.
