The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board discussed the final details with the open house pertaining to the new administration building, planned for next Friday, December 6th at 4:30pm. County Engineer Al Miller and Sheriff Adam Infante both confirmed that vehicles will be on site, at the request of Supervisor Mark Hansen. The Dallas County Emergency Medical Services added that they plan to have a vehicle there as long as they are not on call.
Items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution for the final plat of the MJ Subdivision on the northern east side of Perry, a resolution for a manning rezone on S Avenue on the west side of Woodward, a resolution to hire attorney deputies Andrea Loving, Caleb Rahn, Nils Johnson, Jordan Rude, Steven L. Cooper, Madison Warder, and Eric E. Breitsprecker, plus a resolution for treasurer appointments of Heather Smith as a Motor Vehicle Supervisor, Holly Skoog as a Tax Administrator, and Nancy Hagelberg as a Motor Vehicle Administrator.
Additional approved items pertained to a resolution to modify a five year construction program for the Secondary Roads Department for three projects on County Road P48, County Road F31, and the 365th Street Bridge Replacement for a total amount of $6,100,000. The board also agreed to a public letting for the pavement widening and resurfacing project for County Road F90 on December 11th at 10am with the Secondary Roads Department.
Other approved items pertained to a resolution to transfer $1,000,000 from the General Basic fund to the Capital fund, a 30 day notice of a contract termination for Midwest Janitorial Services, a resolution for an Opioid Settlement Committee as presented, and a resolution to appoint Kevin Howe as an Adel Township Trustee. Also, a resolution was passed for the re-canvassed votes for the State Senator District 14 race from the November General Election between Democrat Sarah Trone-Garriott and Republican Mark Hanson.
