Jayette basketball picked up their first win of the season earlier this week against Des Moines Hoover.  Perry topped the Huskies 51-14.  The Jayettes scored 50 or more points just 3 times last year.  It was nice to see the Perry offense do that in the first games in 2024.  A new personal best for sophomore, Lily Myers, who scored 19 points.  Lily had a double double as she cam away with 10 rebounds.  Fellow sophomore, Kalley Whelchel, scored her first varsity points.  Kalley finished the night with 8.  Also, scoring her first varsity points was freshman, Addison Perks.  Addison finished the evening with 3.

Perry returns to Dan Marburger Court on Tuesday as rival Greene County comes to Perry.
