Greene County hosted Woodward-Granger on Tuesday night in high school girls’ non-conference basketball. The visiting Hawks were 65-17 winners as they improved to 2-0 while Coach Tori Ogden’s Rams are 0-1. The game was heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

The Rams have few girls out and not all are cleared to play due to injury. Makenna Ebersole had 11 points for the Rams with two each by junior Kaycie Pittman, Sara Morlan, and Natalie Wright. All but Pittman sophomores. Unoffical stats showed the Rams with 27 turnovers, three of six from the free throw line, all from Ebersole, and seven of 29 from the field.

W-G had 15 players suited for the game and 13 scored points. Junior Addie Lego had 14 points and junior Riley McCaulley added 10. W-G unofficially went 28 of 64 from the floor, and 10 of 17 from the foul line, with just 10 turnovers.

The first girl/boy doubleheader of the 2024-25 season is set for Monday, Dec. 2 in Jefferson vs. non-conference opponent Ogden. Both games of that twin bill can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls playing at 6 o’clock and the boys to follow.
