Adults looking to stay active this winter season can join in on a sports league in Adel.

The Adel Parks and Recreation Department is inviting participants to register for the Adult Coed Volleyball League, beginning in January. According to Recreation Supervisor Ramona Dillinger, there is no limit to the amount of people that can be on a team, but six players can be out on the floor at one time, with an equal number of men and women. She mentions that this is a yearly event to help keep people in shape with the weather being so cold. 

The league will consist of six weeks followed by an end-of-season tournament from January 5th through March 9th. The games will be played Sunday evenings around 5pm inside the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School South Gym. Dillinger adds that a fee of $210 will need to be paid per team and that childcare is available for one dollar a child. Registration is open until December 13th.
