With the Thanksgiving holiday around the corner, there will be places around the cities of Perry and Adel that will be closed.

According to Perry’s Marketing and Engagement Coordinator Chris Cohea, Perry City Hall, the Perry Water Works Office, the Perry Public Library, and the McCreary Community Building (MCB) will be closed this coming Thursday and Friday. However, members of the MCB can still access the 24-Hour Fitness Room. In addition, residential garbage routes scheduled for Thursday will transition to Wednesday with no change to Friday’s routes. Also, there will be no yard waste pickup on Wednesday and will resume on December 4th.

For the City of Adel, city hall will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for the break, while the Dallas County Courthouse is shutting down on Thursday and Friday, the Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be closed to the public on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and the Adel Public Library will be unavailable on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for the Thanksgiving break.
