A Perry organization is putting on a yearly holiday tradition, beginning today.
The Carnegie Library Museum is hosting its 10th Annual Festival of Trees celebration through early 2025. Museum Librarian Candi Coffin tells Raccoon Valley Radio that about 50 businesses are participating by decorating trees, wreaths, or another sculpture that’s holiday related. She admits that the event started with 12 businesses in 2014, and has been growing ever since with 10 new organizations joining this year.
Coffin says the displays will be available for people to stop by and vote on their favorites until January 4th. The Carnegie Library is closed Sundays and Mondays, open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, and Thursday from 10am to 7pm.
