The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Basketball team will be opening up the 2024-25 season tonight, as Raccoon Valley Radio will have the coverage.

ADM will be welcoming in Des Moines Christian as it will serve as the first game for each team. The Tigers and the Lions met to start the season last year, where Des Moines Christian walked away 56-30 winners. The Lions graduated seven seniors from the 2023 team, while ADM lost seniors Aubrey Winter and Cecelia Gardiner.

The Tigers come into this season with two seniors of Kelli Storck and Aniston Tollari, as well as a new head coach of Danielle Craig. Storck led the team in scoring last year with 231 points and tells Raccoon Valley Radio how she will assert her dominance down low.

“I would just say being smart and knowing that if the double team is coming, then knowing a teammate is open, but also being confident in my footwork and my skills to be able to finish it.”

This will be the fourth matchup between Des Moines Christian and ADM, as the Lions lead the historical series 3-1. The game will tipoff from ADM High School in Adel at 7pm, as Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6:45pm.
