The Panorama Panthers girls wrestling team found great success on Monday hosting the season opener quad meet against West Central Valley, Southwest Valley/Lenox/Bedford and Martensdale-St Marys.

It would be a close battle with a one point differential, but the Panthers would pick up a victory over the West Central Valley Wildcats. Panthers Emma Walker, Natalie Waltz, Ella Carico, Cadence Petersen, and Jacie Baker would all pick up victories giving the Panthers 37 points. The Wildcats would battle, picking up crucial wins against the Panthers but would end up just a point shy, falling to the Panthers 37-36.

The Panther girls are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Nevada High School for the Central Iowa Kickoff Tournament. Varsity tournament action is set to begin at 10am on Saturday
