ADMPostseason recognitions continue to be collected by two Adel-DeSoto-Minburn softball players.

Just one week after we announced sophomore pitcher Molly Jacobsen and junior shortstop McKenzie Sutton being selected to the Class 3A Central All-District squads, they were both also recently named to the Class 3A All-State teams.

Jacobsen was selected to the first team and Sutton made it on as a second teamer.

The sophomore standout pitcher, Jacobsen was only used four times last year towards the end of the season and only garnered six strikeouts with a 9.45 earned-run-average in 6 ⅔ innings.  This year, she came on strong taking over as the main starter with 25-11 record and a 1.19 ERA and led the state in all classes in strikeouts with 330 in 238 innings of work going into the state softball tournament.

Sutton was the lone Tiger who was tabbed as an All-State performer last year once again graces the list this year season.  She finished with a .361 batting average and led the team in triples with two and stolen bases with nine.

After the team turned around their 2013 season with a 4-26 record, they ended this year with a 25-11 record and return both of their All-Stater’s next season.
