Coach Jeff Lamoureux presented a number of awards to members of the Greene County High School cross-country teams recently. Letters were presented to members of the girls’ team including managers Becca Anderson, a junior, and Gracie Turner, a freshman, senior Ava Jablonski, junior Leah McCormick, sophomore Evelyn Snyder, freshmen Cora Powers and Rylee Mowrer. Boys lettering were senior Noah Hinote, junior Carter Hinote, sophomores Jaden Koller, Dexter Ritter, sophomores Brady Carstensen, Eli Carstensen, Maddox Carstensen, and Raymond Bauer, plus freshmen Nick Black, Cole Johnson-Peterson, Tucker Ford, and Rhys Palmer.
For boys, Noah Hinote, a three-time State Meet participant, was named Runner of the Year. Carter Hinote was named Most Improved while Black was Newcomer of the Year. Brady Carstensen and Koller were 150 Mile Club members.
On the girls’ side, Mowrer is the Runner of the Year, Jablonski is Most Improved, and Powers is Newcomer of the Year.
