This marks the start of the second week of girls’ basketball practice at Greene County High School. Coach Tori Ogden is in her fourth season leading the program and wins have been tough to come by. The Rams won once in 2023-24 and the program hasn’t had more wins than losses in more than a decade.

The season will start with 10 or fewer players healthy enough to play in the four grades combined. Despite the small numbers, the coaching staff and players are determined to enjoy playing the game, getting better throughout the season, and picking up victories.

The Rams have a Jamboree later this week vs. Eagle Grove in Ft. Dodge at Iowa Central Community College. The season officially begins on Nov. 26 in Jefferson vs. Woodward-Granger in a girls’ varsity only contest.
