Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Cross Country Head Coach Josh Chapman points out the places of growth that was achieved from this past season.
Chapman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it was a special group of young men that he had the opportunity to lead this year. He admired the senior leadership that was displayed from the 10 upperclassmen in continuing to build the culture Chapman has been aiming to establish.
“From starting in the summer, in June, and having over 30 guys show up six days a week in the summer, getting their summer running in, it just pays dividends when you get to the state meet.”
Chapman expresses that the second, third, fourth, and sixth runner from this year’s team will all be returning in 2025. In the state meet that was held November 1st, the Tigers finished in ninth overall as a team, with senior Torin Timmerman coming in at 42nd individually with a time of 16:59 in the 5K.
